WELCOME TO NEWCOMERS

Welcome Cyclists!

I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to ride with us.  There are no pro cyclists and we have no club affiliation, no dues and of course you ride independently and participate at your own risks - we do however encourage the use of safety equipment, especially a helmet.  Most are a mixture of ladies and guys who like to ride bicycles and enjoy God's creation along the way.

We have no official name and are not an organized club so don't be apprehensive about coming out to join us.  Together we try to apply all the safety rules both State and Local for our protection and that of the motorists.

In the summer months or after the time changes, we generally meet around 6:00 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Train Station in downtown Pulaski, VA.  Most rides last about 2 hours and we're not beyond taking lots of breaks but visit the Bulletin Board frequently to avoid missing a ride.  The Bulletin Board is where cyclists from all around post their rides as well as start times.

In addition to the Tuesday and Thursday rides, no one is beyond calling a ride at any time on any day and departing from a number of different locations and those wishing to ride just show up.  The secret is to get on an e-mail list or watch the website 'Bulletin Board' because this is how we communicate prior to almost every ride.

Not familiar with the Train Station in Down Town Pulaski?  It is easy to find and situated in the center of Town alongside the RR tracks with plenty of parking.

Once again, for your safety, I recommend a helmet and lights for the shorter winter and spring days and a properly functioning bike.  Our bikes comprise of a unique mixture of road, recumbent and hybrid.  Some use a flashing red light attached to the seat post to alert approaching vehicles of their presence.

So, let us hear from you.  We all enjoy meeting new people who share a love for cycling, hiking, walking, jogging, running, kayaking and canoeing.  Use the 'Contact Info' link in the footer of this page if you have questions.
